Cakes and bakes have always been part of my life - thanks to having a German mother who considers it illegal not to bake at least once a week, and a Bahraini father whose family surrounded me daily with mountains of sweet goodies that would make any dentist give up and tuck in. It really was a sweet life.
At the age of 18 I set out to become an architect by building bridges and buildings (predominantly out of anything edible...) at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, UK. Aged 19, I had a quarter-life crisis, marched to the Dean of the University of Reading to request a bespoke joint degree in BA Fine Art & Television studies at University of Reading...I got what I asked for and graduated four happy years later. I consequently read MSc International Marketing & Business Management at Henley School of Business, worked for advertising giant Saatchi & Saatchi, various film production companies and lastly a most uninspiring, dysfunctional technology company that I've long buried in the crevices of my memories.
In between studying, I completed a course with a trained Pastry Chef (Nadia Zuchelli of Let Them Eat Cake) who had worked in 5 star hotels in London, Salzburg and Munich. She captivated my imagination on the secrets of cake decorating and pastry.
I also completed a course with Mark Tilling, UK Chocolate Master 2006-2010, Squires Kitchen’s Master Chocolatier and resident tutor.
I was soon hungry for more and consequently completed courses with the world famous cake artist David MacCarfrae (www.davidcakes.co.uk), renowned sugarcraft artist Claire Fitzsimons of Squires Kitchen, award-winning Japanese wedding cake designers Makiko Searle and Ayako Saida as well as the UK’s premier sugar sculptor Colin Martin (www.schoolofsugar.co.uk/colinmartin). I am to date the only sugar sculptor who pulls and blows boiled sugar in Berkshire, UK!This was the beginning of a longer journey. YUM.
It was time to follow my dreams and change path.
Hence, Faith Jones was finally launched and here I am, spreading sweetness to all who wish to nibble or indulge!

Only the best ingredients are used (free range eggs, premium grade cocoa etc.) and everything is made from scratch, from my own buttercream to colouring my fondant and icing.
Rest assured when it comes to health & safety. I hold a 5 star hygiene rating, product & public liability business insurance as well as a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate awarded by my local council, ensuring none of my customers or products are at risk at any time.
All dietary requirements are catered for; whether it's eggless, sugar-free, dairy free etc. Please just let me know!
